ALOK IS COMING BACK TO BARCELONA!

Great news, Barcelona: ALOK is coming back! And they’re bringing a stand-up show straight from some of the hottest stages on the planet.

ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed trans femme artist. They write poetry, do comedy, and have performed across half the world — over 600 venues in 40 countries.

Blending poetry, comedy, and a touch of unscripted lecture, ALOK turns trauma, belonging, and the human condition into an hour of sharp, cathartic laughter.

Their books «Beyond the Gender Binary,» «Femme in Public,» and «Your Wound, My Garden» have earned worldwide recognition. They’ve had audiences across 40+ countries roaring with laughter, with sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Netflix Is a Joke Festival.

Their comedy special «Biology!» was produced by Christopher Guest (director of cult comedies like «This Is Spinal Tap» and «Best in Show»). They also starred in a documentary short produced by Jodie Foster, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. You may have caught them on shows like «Sex Lives of College Girls» (HBO) or «Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness» (Netflix), and they’ve received honors such as the ACLU of Southern California award and an LGBTQ scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania.

Now stopping in Barcelona on October 27th at La Paloma. Don’t miss out!
